Thoughts on training and motivation
When thinking up a training regime for clients I don't wish to waste mine or their time. Personally I take no satisfaction in taking peoples money and in return getting no results. So after lots of trial and error I have found the formula that works best. I give clients skill activities as a part of every session, I try to include the olympic lifts or variations as a part of a program and mixed martial arts as it is a multi layered sport. There is a great sense of achievement when certain goals are achieved and new skills aquired and a real break in the monotmy of an uninspired cardio and weight machine session. The great thing about olympic lifting is it combines speed and strength and has excellent body composition results, in essence just making your body work better. With martial arts you can gain excellent conditioning and vital skills like being able to defend yourself.
